SEARCHING PLAYERS: (Here are just a few tips)
Less is more: (Example to Find FITZHENRY, Brock WR TEXAS)
Don’t spell out the entire name but just a few letters of LAST & FIRST name ie; FIT, BR.
If that doesn’t do it then push the Clear button to ‘wipe the slate’ clean.
Input his college name and first letter of last name. ie School: TEXAS, LAST NAME: F.
If this does not find the player you are looking for, use the Add a Player Link above to send the player information to FBX and we will add or modify the player to our database and let you know when they are added.
FIRST NAME notes: At times you will see letters behind the first name of a player.
Eg. HALES, Dravannti (nor’12).
nor=Not on Roster & ’12=2012. So though the player at one time may have been on the roster but when last checked he was not on the school’s roster as of the year indicated.
n/c = Non Counter and is used primarily in the CFL as he doesn’t count on the active roster numbers.
Height, Weight, Speed verifications
E = Estimate (Ht, Wt, or Spd taken by an amateur, taken from a Media Guide, article OR unsubstantiated data)
P = Professional measurement taken by pro scouts or pro organizations
X = From a professional website that hasn’t been positively identified as a pro measurement but is trusted.
V = This is an old indicator used when program, V now is the same as P
DATES
03/15/xxxx = Is a general date we use when exact dates aren’t available but are taken in the spring.
08/01/xxxx = Is a general date we use when the data is taken from a school source & is estimated from start of the school year.
xx/xx/xxxx = Any other date then the two above. xx/xx/xxxx are from reliable sources & reflect actual & accurate dates unless marked with an E for estimate.
SEARCHES (On the FIND Tab)
Primary:
Includes such things as Last, First, School, Position, Pro team & Pro team Status etc.
In this area you can use one or many criteria to search for your desired results.
You can’t combine Primary and Secondary search criteria.
Secondary:
Transaction Search: You can search by one date or from one date to another date.
Event Search:
This one is a bit more tricky. Events and event years are usually tied to the season he played & not the players Draft year. ie Searching for the All Star game SENIOR BOWL for the players that will be in the 2012 NFL Draft you will enter By Event: SENIOR BOWL Event Year 2011. ie Other Event searches can be similar like the NFL or CFL Combine events, actually anything that deals strictly with a group of players will probably be the event year equal to the same year he played his Senior year. I know this is a bit confusing.
Report Search: Find reports or notes by scout, position, from one date to a second date.
